To Our URI Community,

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for another fantastic year followed by a celebratory and successful commencement.

Each one of you played a part in making sure the events were meaningful for our graduates. To our faculty and teaching staff, thank you for your support. You have been an integral part of our students’ academic journeys and I am so pleased that many of you were able to share in this momentous occasion with our students and their families.

To our staff, my sincere appreciation. Your commitment to our students’ URI experience, and your dedication, hard work, and genuine care for the success of these events was unparalleled. Conferring more than 4,400 degrees and hosting thousands of people on our campuses is no easy feat. Our campus looked fantastic; the events, which spanned nearly a full week, ran smoothly; you pivoted quickly when circumstances warranted; and the University was alive with celebration.
