Dear URI faculty,

The University’s Office of Innovation in General Education is hosting a panel discussion on Wednesday, Oct. 11, on creative and engaging pedagogical practices utilized by URI faculty. The panel runs from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Anchor Room of the Higgins Welcome Center.

Leading the discussion will be three faculty members who were recognized in the 2023 Spotlight on Faculty Innovations in General Education: Saheli Goswami, assistant professor in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design; David Howard, professor of Theatre; and Melissa Boyd-Colvin and Melissa Camba-Kelsay, director and assistant director, respectively, of the Center for Student Leadership Development.

Come hear the creative and innovative teaching practices they have used in their general education courses, including the activities, assignments and teaching strategies that enhance our students’ general education experience.
