The town of South Kingstown is preparing to start construction for the replacement of a sewer main on Route 138 between Peckham Farm Road and just east of Upper College Road, connecting to the URI campus. To reduce the impact on drivers, the construction work is scheduled for nighttime between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The work will take place May 28 through August when the new sewer pipe installation is finalized. The roadway’s final pavement restoration will take place next summer 2025. 

The campus community is asked to use caution when using the roadways at this time.
