URI Class of 2024 Student Commencement Speakers: ‘Today, we stand tall.’

KINGSTON, R.I. – May 22, 2024 – Despite beginning their college careers in the middle of a pandemic, URI’s Class of 2024 was unstoppable—a fact recognized by each college’s student commencement speaker.

Students Jaylyn De Leon, Victoria Fulfer, Melany Feliz Garcia, Jacob Iacobucci, Jordan May, Sarah Mayer, Emma Simas, and Victoria Wrage each took to the stage, May 17-19 at the Ryan Center, to praise the resilience and determination exhibited by their classmates, express their gratitude to friends, family and URI mentors, and to celebrate one another’s achievements.
