Sept. 24, 2024
The Public Safety Advisory Committee will hold its quarterly meeting on Monday, Sept 30, at 11 a.m. in the Alumni Center’s Beagle Boardroom.
The committee is charged with advising and providing recommendations to the Department of Public Safety and its various units—including the URI Police Department, Transportation and Parking, and Emergency Management—as well as University leadership regarding the department’s programming and operational activities.
The committee provides a forum for broad stakeholder engagement and collaborative, community perspectives on issues related to public safety. The public is encouraged to provide input on topics to be addressed by the committee. The committee welcomes your input regarding campus safety and security as well the operations of any areas under the Department of Public Safety’s jurisdiction. The form to submit recommendations and feedback can be found here.
This advisory committee serves as an important link between the University community and the URI Police Department and public safety units and works to ensure the views of the community are included in discussions about public safety on our campuses.
