The University of Rhode Island Office of Summer Sessions and Winter J Term is thrilled to announce that registration for 2025 Winter J Term courses opens Monday, Oct. 28.

This exciting opportunity allows students to earn credits during winter break which occurs the first 3 weeks of January, helping to accelerate their degree or catch up on requirements. With over 130 courses available across a range of disciplines, students can enhance their academic experience through a shorter, more focused learning format.

Courses are offered in various modes, including in-person classes on the Kingston Campus, hybrid options, and synchronous and asynchronous online courses. Whether you’re looking to fulfill core requirements or explore new interests, there’s something for everyone.
