On November 5, Rhode Island voters will have an opportunity to demonstrate their support for the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College by voting “YES” on Question 2, approving a higher education bond for Rhode Island.

The “Yes on 2” committee is looking for volunteers to stand at key polling locations on Election Day, during peak voting hours (7–9 a.m. or 5–8 p.m.). No experience is needed—just enthusiasm for URI and a willingness to hold a “Yes on 2” sign.

Approval of Question 2 will invest $87.5 million for the construction of a URI biomedical sciences building and $73 million for renovations and modernizations to transform Whipple Hall into a dedicated home for RIC’s Institute for Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies.
