A reminder to protect your Two-Factor Authentication methods

A message from Information Technology Services.

Nov. 7, 2024

We want to remind all community members of the critical importance of protecting your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) methods. These methods are essential for maintaining the security of your accounts and personal information.

Key points to remember:

  • Never share your 2FA codes with anyone, even if they claim to be from IT support or another trusted department.
  • Do not accept phone calls or push notifications if you did not initiate the request.
  • Keep your authentication device secure and ensure it is accessible only by you.
  • Be cautious of unexpected or suspicious messages or links requesting your login credentials or 2FA codes.
  • Never enter your account information or password into a Google form.

If you have any concerns or receive a suspicious request via email, please use the PhishAlarm button to report it to the Information Security Team.

For more information about PhishAlarm, please refer to the Knowledge Base article in ServiceNow (KB0010277).
