RIPTA Public Meeting, Nov. 14

Community members are invited to submit feedback

Nov. 12, 2024

The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority is exploring the potential for establishing a comprehensive transit hub at Kingston Station, which would integrate several transportation modes including fixed-route bus, Flex on Demand, and rail, and provide transit access to the South County Bike Path.

To help plan for these improvements, RIPTA will hold a public meeting this Thursday, Nov. 14, at 6 p.m. at the Kingston Free Library, 2605 Kingstown Road, Kingston.

In addition, all members of the community are invited to participate in a survey that will enable RIPTA to better understand how services are currently used, as well as satisfaction levels and ways to improve mobility in the community.

Your input will guide RIPTA in meeting the travel needs of URI students and faculty, South County residents, Amtrak riders, and others visiting or working in the region, and will enhance connectivity and accessibility for everyone.
