URI’s Study Abroad Week is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the range of opportunities available that work with their major, to bring expanded perspective on global issues back to Rhode Island’s flagship public research university. 

A week’s worth of activities, from Feb. 10 to 14, is the first step to explore international and national study away opportunities and learn about the potential benefits these experiences bring.

Study Abroad Week will highlight the University’s offerings for students, giving them the chance to ask questions, explore options, talk to advisors, and learn how to apply for programs. 

The week kicks off on Monday, Feb. 10, with a booth in the Memorial Union for students to visit, ask questions and get drop-in advising, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Throughout the week, students can learn more about the range of opportunities at URI for study abroad experiences, ranging from short-term to year-long experiences at sites around the world, as well as here in the U.S via the National Student Exchange program.

Sessions happening at a range of days and times will explain the different types of study abroad programs offered at URI, costs, and more.

In-person and virtual sessions are available, as well as drop-in advising in the Memorial Union and events in URI’s International Student Center (37 Lower College Road); additional information programs extend through March 6.
