Effective May 21, 2025, the University has updated its policy on University Technology and Sponsored Non-Immigrant Aliens. This revised policy can be found on the University’s Administrative Policies webpage.
 
University Technology and Sponsored Non-Immigrant Aliens
The University’s policy on University Technology and Sponsored Non-Immigrant Aliens ensures compliance with federal export control requirements as they relate to visiting international scholars, students, or employees; and ensures computers used by international visitors to connect to University networks have the necessary information security controls. The existing policy has been updated to provide a clearer definition of U.S. Persons, and to detail the circumstances under which the University’s internal computer systems and networks are considered export control technology.
