Beginning Monday, July 28, West Alumni Avenue will be closed to traffic from Plains Road to Brookside Residence Hall to allow for crews to prepare the road for paving on Aug. 11-12.

Road construction will occur in two phases with the section of West Alumni Avenue from Tootell Road to Brookside expected to reopen Wednesday, Aug. 13.

In addition, the section of West Alumni Avenue from Brookside to Butterfield Road will also be closed for utility repair from Monday, July 28, to Friday, Aug. 1. That stretch of West Alumni will reopen Monday, Aug. 4.

The stretch of West Alumni from Tootell to Plains Road will remain closed while prep work advances west of Plains Road for about one additional week.

Directional signage will be posted. Please use extra caution when traveling in this area and be aware of public works officials who will be directing traffic.
