Dear URI Faculty and Staff,

Due to upcoming construction, Lot 21, a multi-use lot designated for faculty, staff and guests located on Flagg Road, will be closing in January.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, all faculty, staff and guests, including staff and guests of OLLI, who previously parked in Lot 21 will need to transition to the northeast corner of Lot 25 (Plains Road Lot). Signage will be posted to assist with this change.

For those with an ADA placard, there will be two newly designated areas located near 210 Flagg Road that are accessible with ADA compliant sidewalks.

To support your commute to and from your office building when classes are in session September- May (excluding J-Term), the Rhody Shuttle and Rhody On-Demand services are available. Please visit the Parking and Transportation website for additional information on shuttle service, including the shuttle tracker.

We understand that this adjustment may require changes to your routine and sincerely appreciate your cooperation, flexibility, and understanding as we begin this important campus improvement.
