On Wednesday, Dec. 10, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation will begin construction work to expand parking at the Kingston Amtrak Railroad Station. The Kingston station lot is reserved strictly for ticketed Amtrak passengers and bike-path users only.

Work will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is expected to be completed by summer 2026.

Please note that vehicles parked illegally at the Kingston station (see below graphic), or for any purpose other than train or bike-path travel will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
