Please be aware that beginning Wednesday, Dec. 17, West Alumni Avenue will be closed between Plains Road and Tootell Road in order to allow to allow for the installation of utilities that will support the track renovation project. Work is expected to take one to two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.:

• A detour will be setup to route through traffic northbound along Plains and Tootell Road, where they will connect at the Plains/Flagg/Tootell Road intersection.
• Signage will be posted accordingly to assist with wayfinding.
• The Plains Road and Solar Parking Lot entrances to West Alumni will be closed. All other entrances/exits will remain open.
• The URI Police Department will have details at either end of the road closure.

After 3:30 p.m. each day the road will be reopened with crossing plates in place. Work within the grassy areas will be enclosed with temporary fencing.
