The Office of the President and the Office of Community, Equity and Diversity invite members of the University of Rhode Island community to submit nominations for the 2026 Inclusive Excellence Awards.

These awards recognize undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the University who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to advancing inclusion, equity, and belonging at URI through community leadership, academic excellence, and service. Nominations are an opportunity to uplift individuals whose work and impact strengthen our campus community and reflect URI’s values.

To submit a nomination, please visit the Community, Equity and Diversity website, where you can find the full list of award categories and nomination requirements. All nominations must be submitted online by Monday March 2 at 11:59 p.m.

The 2026 Inclusive Excellence Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 2, at 5 p.m. in the Memorial Union on the Kingston Campus. Additional details about the ceremony, including registration information, will be shared in the coming weeks.
