The Office of the President and the Office of the Provost are pleased to announce that the 2026 University Academic Excellence Awards are scheduled for Thursday, April 30, at 3 p.m., in Edwards Hall. Nominations are being accepted through March 13, prior to spring break.

The University Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony will combine awards from the Office of the Provost (Teaching and Service Awards), the Division of Research and Economic Development (Research and Scholarship Awards), and the Graduate School (Graduate School Awards), and will recognize outstanding achievements in research and scholarship, teaching and service, and graduate education. These awards celebrate faculty, students, and staff whose contributions advance URI’s mission and strengthen our academic community.
