KINGSTON, R.I. – March 3, 2026 – University of Rhode Island student volunteers will participate in a day-long, dance marathon to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and Hasbro Children’s Hospital on Saturday, March 7, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., in URI’s Memorial Union, 50 Lower College Road, on the Kingston Campus.

RhodyTHON, one of the major student-run philanthropic events within the URI community, incorporates various campus groups, including URI Greek Life, sports teams and other student organizations—all of which are involved in the event’s production and execution.

Students have spent the year raising funds to support Children’s Miracle Network and Hasbro Children’s Hospital in the lead up to the big day. RhodyTHON volunteers have organized booths, dodgeball tournaments, sports games and Hasbro Children’s Hospital onsite visits to boost overall morale and excitement throughout the Rhode Island community.

During RhodyTHON, students will enjoy music, activities and food provided by local vendors while dancing the morning, afternoon and early evening away. Every hour on the hour, there will be choreographed dance performances to keep spirits high. Several “Miracle Kids” from Hasbro Children’s Hospital will also be in attendance and recognized at the event.

More than $58,000 was raised through the dance marathon last year, with over $750,000 raised since 2017. Following the event, the anticipated fundraising total will be revealed through an unveiling with members of RhodyTHON’s executive board.

The board consists of 29 members, including Executive Director Caeley Cranstoun, External Director Kayleigh Wilson, Membership Director Abby Forget, Internal Director Madeline Augsbach, Communications Director Megan Cavallo and Finance Director Tucker Pieh. The board, along with committee chairs and members, have been working on the event since last year.

Donations and registrations for the main event can be made online or by paying the entry fee of $5 at the event. This event is open to the general public.
