Celebrating Administrative Professionals Day,  April 22

KINGSTON, R.I.–April 20, 2026–In recognition of Administrative Professionals Day, on April 22, URI’s Office of Human Resources is hosting a special appreciation breakfast, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., in the Roosevelt Hall Great Room, to honor administrative professionals across the University for their dedication, expertise and essential contribution to our community.

URI’s administrative professions are problem-solvers, translators of complex systems, and trusted guides for students, faculty, and staff alike. They know how the University works and they generously share that knowledge every day.

The Administrative Professionals Appreciation Breakfast will celebrate URI’s outstanding team of administrative professionals who provide high level support across all departments, managing everything from detailed reports to budgets, schedules, classroom reservations, records, and much more.

These vital team members balance priorities, protect confidentiality, coordinate with faculty, and help students navigate academic policies and services, all while keeping multiple systems, deadlines, and calendars in sync. They answer questions large and small—often at the exact moment someone says, “I’m not sure who to ask”—and help to keep our University moving forward.

All members of the URI community are encouraged to take a moment to stop by and help celebrate.
