The founding partner of Grupo de Diseno Urbano in Mexico City, Schjetnan will discuss “Landscape, Sustainability and Public Space.”
Schjetnan’s firm has worked on a wide variety of urban design and landscape architecture projects and received many national and international awards, including the Green Prize in Urban Design from Harvard University for the Parque Ecologico Xochimilco; the Latin American Grand Prize for work on the Museum of the Northern Culture of Mexico; and several Presidential Awards of Excellence from the American Society of Landscape Architects, among many others.
He has published several books on landscape design and has taught extensively at Harvard, the University of California at Berkley, the University of Arizona and elsewhere.
