URI students to protest killing of Trayvon Martin today at noon

WHAT: A protest and moment of silence in honor of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen killed this month in Sanford, Fla. Participants in the protest have been encouraged to wear a hooded sweatshirt in solidarity. The event is organized by three URI student groups: Uhuru Sasa, Brothers On A New Direction, and the Student Association for the Advancement of Haitian People.


WHEN: Friday, March 30 at noon.


WHERE: The URI Quadrangle, off Upper College Road, Kingston, R.I.
