Out of an abundance of caution and care for our community members, the University has decided to cancel all in-person classes at all campuses Friday, Feb. 4, starting at noon and for the rest of the day. All in-person morning classes, and all online classes will be held as scheduled.

Forecasts are calling for freezing rain to begin by mid-afternoon in our area, and it is the desire of URI to make sure community members have time to get home safely.

Even with this schedule change, we urge students, faculty and staff to use caution and give themselves plenty of time to get to campus in the morning and time to get home safely in the afternoon.
