Health Services, COVID-19 testing centers to close at 4 p.m. today

URI Health Services will close its clinic in the Potter Building, its COVID-19 asymptomatic testing center in the Memorial Union and its symptomatic testing center at the trailer today, Feb 4, at 4 p.m. If a student has a health emergency, they should call 911.

Health Services will reopen Saturday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m.  

Health Services urges community members who must be tested weekly to meet exemption requirements and others who wish to be tested do so as early as possible today. Health Services urges community members to avoid traveling in conditions expected to worsen this afternoon.


Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation will close the Mackal/Tootell/Keaney Athletic Complex for Open Recreation at noon today and the Fascitelli Fitness & Wellness Center at 4 p.m.

Campus shuttles, Rhody Safe Rides program

Transportation and Parking has canceled the URI shuttle service as of 12:30 p.m. today, Feb. 4. There will be no Rhody Safe Rides service tonight. Rhody Safe Rides will resume Saturday, Feb. 5, at 6 p.m.

Library

The Carothers Library and Learning Commons will close at 5 p.m. today. The 24-hour room will remain open.


These measures are being taken to protect the health and safety of our community members, as well as the staff who work in these areas.
