A story set in South County, Rhode Island. Two young scientists find a briefcase uncovering a story of mysterious deaths spanning sixty years along a small river. A family destroyed by madness and tragedy is at the center of the mystery, the mother and child lost in a suspicious fire and the father in a strange accident, perhaps linked to the evil. In an effort to solve the mystery, the pair find their separate lives changing in ways they could never imagine, bringing a lost family home.
