Health, Counseling, and Campus Life Resources for Our Community

Dec. 15, 2025

Dear URI Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We know that the events of the weekend have affected members of our community in different ways, and we want to acknowledge the stress and uncertainty this moment brings. As the semester comes to a close, our goal is to provide flexibility and support for our faculty and staff while continuing to serve and care for our students. Although there is no known threat to any URI campuses, URI Police will continue increased patrols across campus as a precaution and to help provide added reassurance to the community.

Below, you will find information about campus resources, health and wellness supports, and guidance related to campus operations and employee work schedules.

FALL EXAMS

Earlier today, the University shared an update regarding changes to the Fall 2025 exam schedule. We encourage all students, faculty, and staff to review the important information.

CAMPUS OPERATIONS

URI offices remain open, and we continue to support our students. Staff whose positions have been designated as “essential,” because their responsibilities include services that must be performed on site, should report to work. “Non-essential” staff who can do so may work remotely with the approval of their supervisor. We encourage all managers to support their employees’ health and well-being by offering flexibility where possible.

CAMPUS LIFE RESOURCES

This week and throughout winter break and J Term, hours of operation for some campus services—including dining halls and recreation facilities—may change. Community members are encouraged to check the hours for each location using the links provided below.

Dining Halls
Campus dining halls are open but some locations will operate on modified schedules. Visit the Campus Dining website for hours of operation by location.
