Best-Ever Finish by URI Woman Athlete

Rhode Island junior Lotte Black finished fourth out of 12 runners in the 1500-meter final at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas, in June.

Black was in 10th place with 400 meters to go; by finishing the last 200 meters of her race in 31 seconds, she finished in fourth place.
